Christmas Gifts for Walkers and Adventurers: A High-Energy Snack Bar Gift Guide

Buying a Christmas gift for someone who loves the outdoors can be tricky. They often already have the boots, the jacket and the rucksack — so the best gift is something they will actually use on their next adventure.

A gift for the trail, not the shelf

The Adventure Pack (£19.99) contains four bars, one of each flavour, making it an easy introduction to the range. Each bar packs over 600 calories and over 30g of protein, which makes them a practical choice for long walks, hikes and days outdoors when a proper meal is hours away. Originally developed for the UK's elite military, they are built for days when you need energy that travels well.

Why food gifts work for walkers

Walkers and adventurers appreciate gifts that fit into their plans rather than adding clutter. Snack bars slip into a rucksack pocket, weigh very little, and get used within weeks rather than gathering dust. A four-flavour pack also lets the recipient discover a favourite, which makes the gift feel like an experience rather than a single item.

How to gift it well

Present the pack with something small and personal: a handwritten note suggesting a walk you could do together, or a route card for a favourite trail. If you are building a larger gift, pair the bars with a reusable bottle or a walking map, and the whole parcel tells a story about time outdoors together.

For winter walks too

Cold-weather walking burns plenty of energy, and a filling snack at the halfway point can turn a good walk into a great one. Keep a bar in your coat pocket on frosty mornings and you will be glad of it at the top of the hill.
